WattaEat Terms of Use
Last updated: October 16, 2026
These terms apply when you use the WattaEat app. By using it, you accept them. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data. Questions? Write to hello@alicantilki.com.
The app
WattaEat is a budget meal planner. You can photograph your fridge, pantry or freezer (or type what you have), get a weekly menu that aims to stay within your budget and use your food first, a shopping list sorted by aisle and a weekly savings report. We may improve or change features over time.
You must be at least 16 to use WattaEat, and it is meant for personal use.
Your account
Keep your sign-in secure and give accurate details, especially your country and region, because prices and recipes depend on them. You can delete your account any time in Settings → Account → Delete account. This does not cancel your Apple subscription.
Subscriptions and billing
- Plans: yearly with a 7-day free trial, or weekly with no trial. The price is shown on the App Store before you confirm and includes any tax.
- Apple handles payment. You buy through the App Store, and Apple's terms apply to the purchase. We never see your payment details.
- Free trial: if you don't cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, the yearly plan starts and Apple charges you. One trial per Apple ID.
- Automatic renewal: subscriptions renew at the end of each week or year unless you cancel at least 24 hours before.
- Cancel in your iPhone's Settings → your name → Subscriptions. You keep access until the end of the paid period. Deleting the app does not cancel it.
- Refunds are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. Your legal rights as a consumer, including any right of withdrawal, apply through Apple.
Scans, new plans and meal swaps need an active trial or subscription. Your past plans and lists stay readable.
Fair use
Don't use WattaEat for anything illegal or harmful, upload photos of people or content you have no right to share, try to get around the paywall, copy, scrape or resell the app, or interfere with it or its AI. We may suspend accounts that seriously or repeatedly break these rules.
AI and price estimates
Pantry lists, plans, recipes and shopping lists are made with the help of AI, and AI makes mistakes: it can misread a photo, miss an item or get a quantity wrong. Check the results, and use common sense when cooking.
Prices, budgets and savings are estimates based on official price statistics and our own estimates. They are not live store prices, and we don't guarantee you will stay under budget or save a particular amount.
Allergies and health
Always check product labels. Allergen information in the app can be incomplete or wrong, so don't rely on the app alone if you or someone you cook for has an allergy. WattaEat is not medical or nutrition advice.
Your content and ours
You keep the rights to the photos and information you add. You allow us to use them only to run the app for you. We don't use your photos to train AI models. The app, its name, logo, recipes and price data belong to us, and you may use the app for personal purposes on your Apple devices.
Liability
We provide WattaEat as it is and do our best to keep it working, but we can't promise it will always be available or error-free. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection law, or our liability where the law does not allow it to be limited.
Apple
These terms are between you and WattaEat, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app, its support or any claims about it, and Apple may enforce these terms as a third-party beneficiary. Contact us, not Apple, with questions about the app.
Changes and ending
We may update these terms and will tell you in the app before important changes take effect. You can stop using WattaEat at any time. If we stop offering the app, we will give you reasonable notice. The consumer laws of the country where you live continue to apply to you.
